The Night We turned to Carnivores

When I first asked my friends about the well-known Hurricane since I got the resource from Hooi Ching, the reviews I got in return were "awesome, fantasbulous, the best steak, grill, has to wait for an hour even though you reach earlier, it worthes your penny, etc etc etc...and the-must-eat-food, PORK RIBS!

And since Maria's friend travelled all the way from Singapore just for her, she chose Hurricane for his first dinner in Sydney and yet we girls tagged along :p Another words, light bulb-lah.

Without any futher elaboration, I pretty sure everyone would definitely know where Hurricane is by asking any strangers on the road since it's too famous to be known.

Sydney Hurricane's Grill
"Specialising in premium quality Australian Beef, tasty Pork, Lamb Ribs and Chicken, Hurricane’s signature dishes are marinated in special basting sauces originating from South Africa"

Most of them would recommend Hurricane Bondi Beach than Darling Harbour as it situated at the Australian's world famous beach and you can take a stroll along the beach right after the dinner since pork ribs is a heavy meal that you must really be aware of. Besides, you can grab a take-away meal to avoid waiting.

I personally prefer Darling Harbour as it located inside Harbourside and you can enjoy the mesmerizing harbour view from a number of different vantage points throughout the restaurant and most importantly, the splendor of the night city :)

Truth to be told, never in my life had I eaten this much of pork. NEVER! And never in my life would I try on lamb ribs, yeah I don't eat lamb nor steak. Hurricane's Grill has somehow pulled me into the cage. Hehe.

Might need to apologise for the blurr pictures taken or limited pictures cause we couldn't spare some time for camera cause the pork ribs is so seductive!

Combo : Chicken and Pork Ribs

Here it comes our FULL RACK of ULURU Ribs. Ooo la laaa~~

We were both busy eating and eating and eating! Till I remember I have not taken any pictures yet, Shan said "NOT FREE LA! Pork ribs more important". So, we did not take any :p

The left over ribs. Honestly, the meat is so tender that you could just bite it off straight, unlike those pork ribs in Bah Kut Teh that took me an hour to bite all the meats.

We had to wear boots that night since the weather gets colder day by day as winter is approaching.

Do you often get paranoid to see a blurr picture of yours most of the time even though it is taken with your own dslr? Welllll, I always do when I see myself is not being focused.

When you run out of idea on where to go dating, you should indeed consider Harbourside. Harbourside is surrounded by some exceptional attractions such as the Sydney Aquarium, Australian National Maritime Museum, Sydney Wildlife World, the Powerhouse Museum and IMAX Theatre.

Sitting down here with your parter, have a secret talk, enjoy the breeze.....

Not only that, the awesome night view matches the dating moment of you and your partner.

Another blurr picture :(

The reason why I recommend it as the best place to go dating is because you can just kiss in public without being caught by Police or being starred by people around. Sarcastically, you just can't KISS in Malaysia. wth.

The magnificient view made me want to stay even more but we can't be lamp post anymore and we headed back home.

Later Dad and Mom called me regarding the latest Swine Flu since ten people in New South Wales are being tested for suspected swine flu. You and I both knew I had pork ribs at the crucial period, I do not want to lie and at the same time I do not want to tell either, somehow I told them. And I was lectured by them. Now I learnt a lesson, NEVER tell your parents anything!

Last but not least,I'd finally got myself a heater, which means no more wrapping myself with 3 layers and have a comfy sleep without shivering in the middle of the night :]

p/s: Pasar Malam was great. Beef Rendang is orgasmic!

My stimulation

People often don't get serious in studies, or precisely I'm the person who doesn't concentrate on studies especially when midterm is around the corner. Fyi, this thursday. And the only stimulation to get my eyes stare on the books is to plan more trips :] As Lern said, travel as much as you can before turning 25!

And yes, my winter holiday is in well-shapped now and I'm seriously looking forward to it. Will be travelling to New Zealand and Melbourne with Lern first and then to Brisbane to meet up with Jin Khai :)

Add on to the current temptation on Taiwan trip which is suggested by Shan has made me gone more insane. As well as the plan to crash Singapore before heading back to Malaysia.

Oooo La la~~I'm getting more and excited,by all means I can study RIGHT NOW! :)

Hurricane’s Grill & Bar tomorrow, wooo-hooo!

Hypothesis of friend

It feels awful to have known someone whom you treat as best mate is indeed manipulating you for his/her own benefits and unintenionally threw out a word that could pierce right through your heart. Maybe I was a lil too sensitive, but knowing someone needs stimulation would rather be mean most of the time than giving complimentary is so paranoid. And how desperate he/she is simply to prove that he/she is better off than you taking into account the hardwork he/she contributes.

Do you get the picture?

Sharing is caring

When I first came to Sydney, I never had a chance to speak to any international students directly about culture or specifically about Malaysia partly because I hate Malaysia way too much except for food. Even if I did, he/she must be singaporeans and I noticed most of circle friends are Singaporeans so there's no difference between us. Till I moved in to this house, it was a coincident to have met Alice, my ex tutorial classmate and other housemates from different country. Alice and I shared each of our cultures every now and then, especially during easter break where we sat down for hours, browsing pictures from lappie and had our sharing session. Silly us, we were like kids telling stories to each other. Its fun though :)

Since I've showed her tourist attraction in M'sia like Penang, Malacca, Seremban, Genting, I showed more and more food pictures. Hence, I decided to showed her the food I had during Chinese New Year.

And she went, "Eeeeeeeee, why is everyone fighting for food? What's that?"

Immediately, my jaw fell.

"Don't you know what is this? This is Lou Sang!!!!!"

"what's lou sang?", she questioned.

And I replied, "errrrr, a chinese food that we must have during Chinese New Year. Do you know Poon Choy?"

"YES YES I KNOW! We have it during Chinese New Year", she repied happily after knowing what am I talking.

Never would I know Lou Sang is not originated from China or Hong Kong since another Hong Kong friend of mine has no idea what's it. Thus, I wikipedia-ed!

And I was wrong :( For more information, read *this*
