The secret return of me has somehow surprised my 2 precious lady, Shin Lynn & Tee Ann who were stunned when I stood right in front of them cause I'd left them wondering why is Kerry's friend whom they claimed that we look alike is joining them. I should have snapped their expression, undeniably STUNNED!
Now I'm back, what's next?
DARUSSALAM NASI LEMAK that I'd been craving for 5 months!
Poor Kimmy has to be quarantined after sending my camera to Canon in which helping has turned out as disaster because of the confirmed H1N1 cases in Canon. Neither did I quarantine myself after touching down Malaysia. I am irresponsible :P
Anyway, few days before I left Sydney, few friends of mine from Hong Kong and I decided to go on budget way by renting a car to drive all the way to Hunter Valley, . Given the freedom during our trip in Hunter Valley, we get to pick which vineyard to go as well as free wine tasting! However, drinking and driving is something you can't mess around with so do take care especially when there are kangaroos crossing the road illegally!
Just before heading to hunter valley, we made a stop at Nelson Bay, a suburb of Port Stephens to take some photos. Blue skies, blue water, great weather, clean harbour are always what we looking for especially you could get those in OZ.
Wooooooo. Blue Water Paradise that makes me doubt a lil.
This is the cleanest harbour with crystal CLEAR water I've ever seen so far. So what do I mean by crystal clear water?
THIS CLEAN & CLEAR! I really do mean it! You might want this in your home country, but it'd never happen in Malaysia.
It's so clear until Alice wishes she could jump in and swim.
After we were done with photography, we then headed down to Hunter Valley which took us approximately 30-45minutes. Homeworks were done on time so we picked the most visited vineyard though there are dozens of vineyards ranging from large multi-nationals to small family run operations.
The very first stop, Hungerford Hill
Now, this is the only place you could say I want to try this, this, this and this. And if you're happy, finish it. Otherwise, pour it away!
Here comes the second stop. Tempus two.
We did not have our free wine tasting as we were attracted by Smelly Cheese Shop.
Anyway, cheese is smelly to me!
What goes better with wine than some great cheese?
yesss.I am Jakun, never see this big cheese in my life and hence I was stunned.
YUCKSSS!
Third stop, McGuigan Wines and another wine tasting session...
McGuigan Black Label Merlot 2008 @ $10 (Dirt' CHEAP!)
We all know wine and food go hand in hand and by having fabulous wines on hand, we had to hunt for the local gourmet.
Never underestimate this small cottage house which would hint you that they serve food at reasonable price. They serve exquisite food which burn your wallet!
Complementary Bacon in Spoon sounds much better than Complementary Bread that makes us sounds cheap skate.
No-idea-what-fish-is-this @ $42
Perona Fish with Scallops @ $42
The last Stop, Lindemans, one of the oldest continuous Australian wineries and the best selling Australian wine brand in the world.
Lindemans Shiraz 1999 @ $40
Would you pay $40 for 1999 wine? Like duh! Who wouldn't?
KAWAIII. Now do I look like part of Hong Kong citizen? Hmmmmmm..
I should be writing this post in more details but I guess it's time to sleep after a long tiring day of baking cakes. Besides, Imma is heading down to Malacca tomorrow for FOOOOOOD! Ahhh, it's time to control as I can see myself putting on alot of weights.
So long and good night :)
